Two formats, two very different design problems
Cricket clubs run whites for red-ball formats and full-colour kit for one-day and T20, and the two need opposite treatment. Whites live or die on a small number of precisely placed marks against a near-white ground, where a sublimation colour shift is immediately visible. Coloured kit is a full-panel artwork problem closer to a soccer shirt.
Both formats sit on the same template family here, so a club's identity carries across from the long-sleeve sweater to the coloured shirt without being redrawn for each.

Precision on a near-white ground
On whites there is nowhere for an error to hide. A crest that sits two centimetres low is obvious in every team photo for a season. Placing marks against a named UV panel rather than by eye means the crest, the club name and the sponsor land in the same position on every shirt in the run, and on next season's run too.
Kit that matches the playing conditions
Most competitions cap sponsor area and restrict which zones can carry commercial marks. Because artwork is placed against defined panels rather than dropped onto a flat image, you can see what each sponsor occupies before the design goes to the club, and catch a non-compliant placement at design time rather than after the run is printed.
